FNAF 2 is the terrifying sequel to Scott Cawthon's popular horror game series. FNAF 2 adds new robots, a more complex storyline, more mechanics, and a significantly more surprising atmosphere, all building on the suspense and horror of the first game. If you enjoyed the tension in FNAF 1, this installment will deliver even more intense, nail-biting nights inside the infamous diner.

How to Play FNAF 2

You play as the new night shift security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria in this sequel. After reporting the robots that attempted to break into the workplace, the previous night shift security guard was transferred. Now it's your chance to face the same danger, but things are even worse.

Unlike the previous game, the workplace has three open entrances, and since there are no doors to prevent the robots from approaching you, they are free to roam. The game provides you with two tools to "help" you:

• A Freddy Fazbear mascot head to trick some of the animated robots into thinking you're one of them
• A flashlight to check the hallways and stop some characters from lunging at you

However, survival becomes an endless battle against time as more animated robots appear, more attack paths, and new types of behavior emerge.

Introducing the New Threat Line

A range of improved and flawed animated robots are introduced in FNAF 2. Each character poses a different threat, from the terrifying Withered versions of the original group to the redesigned Toy animated robots. Some have unique mechanics requiring precise timing, some react to light, and others require the Freddy mask.

As additional characters are activated each night, the situation becomes increasingly chaotic, requiring precise control of your cameras, flashlight batteries, and mask switches.

Controls

• The basic point-and-click technique is kept simple but intense in FNAF 2:
• To monitor different rooms and switch between security cameras, use your mouse.
•  To inspect dark hallways and use a flashlight, press and hold the Space key.
• To evade some of the animated robots, wear Freddy Fazbear's head.
•  Avoid detection from midnight to six in the morning.

While the new rules bring more complexity, keeping you on alert throughout the five nights—and subsequent challenges—fans of the original game will still feel familiar.
