Space Waves | v.1.1 bends space with rough mechanical waves. The dense changes make you feel stretched out and out of touch with the real world.

There are no directions at the start of the game. Instead, there is a straight line moving forward in silence. Everything is ready for a click that will break the balance and change the direction. Space in this game isn't static; it pushes the player into a rhythm that comes naturally. Every direction change is like breaking a set line of motion. You can't control a set character like you would in a normal game; instead, you control an entity that moves between sharp structures. The spikes aren't just obstacles; they look like solid walls. Players don't learn to control the game, but to act at the right time. Therefore, the game is like a constantly changing system, and you have to adapt to it. As you learn more, you realize that every click is a decision about how to survive in a small, dangerous space.
In Space Waves | v.1.1, spikes are not only problems, they're also the only way to fail right away if the player gets it wrong. It's not necessary for them to move or fight; they are just fixed points in space. It's not their shape that makes them dangerous; it's when they show up just as you change direction. It feels like you're walking between two limits that are getting tighter every time you cross a small space. Because of this, the area is always stressful, so there is no time for a gentle retesting. In a sequence of events, distance, movement rhythm, and changes in direction must be considered. Once you've mastered it, obstacles are no longer just random things blocking your way; they become part of the overall rhythm of the level.
The direction isn't set in stone anymore.
The click-to-swap direction feature is what makes the whole experience work. Every direction change is like going against a river that is moving very quickly. You can't slow down in space to get used to it; it keeps moving quickly forward. When the direction changes, the whole structure of the movement changes, which makes it hard to always tell where you are. Long-term inertia is not something that players can count on; they have to always be aware of what's going on around them. This game's simple controls make it much more tense than many others that are more complicated. There aren't many buttons or options. For each direction change, there is only one choice.
